Update: Much Progress

She has grown so much! It feels like just yesterday I was crying over her small 1.5 pound fragile body as she was being wheeled out of the delivery room.  And now she is 34 weeks old, and weighs 3 pounds 14 ounces.  Her awareness has greatly increased and she spends roughly 45 minutes of every 3 hours wide awake. She’s been extubated for several weeks now and has not looked back. Over the next day or so they’ll be removing her from the isolette and will place her in an open crib. She’s finally graduated from just wearing a diaper to wearing little onesies, though we’ve yet to find ones that fit her (i.e. preemie cloths are hard to come by).

Holly and I have begun to prepare our home for her arrival. Painting has been completed, new carpet has to be laid, furniture needs to be assembled, and clothes need to be purchased.  This is definitely an exciting time for us as we behold the healing hand of God moving on her behalf.

We marvel at the progress she has made over the last ten weeks

  5. I’ve been praying for your family for the last month or so that I came across this blog (Thanks to VMarie on YouTube).

Whilst eating dinner tonight, I shared this blog – from the very beginning – with my 6yo and 8yo children. Together, we marveled at Yahweh’s provision, and thanked him for His answered prayers, trusting Him for exponentially answered prayers from here on in.

No doubt you are aware of Danae Blessing’s story – http://www.truthorfiction.com/rumors/s/smellofrain.htm#.UcQZv5xW6k8 . Hugo, Aaliyah and I are all praying Emily is held close to Yahweh, just as Danae was. And, just as Danae has her memories of Yahweh’s provision, I pray that Emily will too.

  6. HALLELU!!!!! Check Burlington ‘s for preemie clothes. I was able to find some for my friends son. We are certain she will outgrow them QUICKLY as God continues to prosper her!!! Still praying!!!

  11. Seth and Holly-
We are so thrilled to hear of Emilie’s progress. Mauricio and I have been faithfully following your blog and are so happy that soon you will be taking your little miracle home. Our hearts are broken over the loss of Rick and Luke, but somehow Emilie’s journey shows us there is still hope. We were so blessed to have met your family in the hospital and hope to stay in touch!
    God bless,
