Update: Extubated! *in Jesus’ name!*

Today Emilie was extubated. Actually she self-extubated. While Holly was kangarooing her, Emilie reached up and removed the tape from the side of her face which was holding her ET tube in place. We suspected this would happen because she’s been playing with the tube all week. Well today she finally accomplished her mission (as you can see she’s lifting her hand in praise for the tube being gone!) The good thing in this is that the doctors were planning to extubate her today anyway, she just beat them to it.

While many babies her age normally require re-intubation several times after they’ve been extubated, Holly and I are not claiming this for Emilie. We are believing that she will not require re-intubation. We believe her lungs are strong enough to carry the load, and that God will sustain. 

Ezekial 37:5 – Thus saith the Lord GOD… Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and ye shall live:

  1. um, i was just reading ezekiel 37 last night..that Word gave me. LIFE! God’s saying even the dead, dry places, He will cause to spring to life with His breath! we can’t wait for His life-breath to continue blowing all over Emilie Grace! our family is rejoicing with yours!

Wow, I’m all the way over here in Vancouver, Canada and I too feel so much apart of this experience, thanks Seth, Holly and baby Emilie for the opportunity to be apart of your miracle experience! We are truly part of one big happy family of believers (the family of God)! Will keep Emilie in our prayers … from my family to yours! Our Sovereign Lord is truly in control!

  6. Praise the Lord for all of Emilie’s progress! I’m visiting family and meeting my new baby cousin for the first time this week. She was born a premie. She’s almost 9 months and healthy & strong. I’m standing in faith continually for Emilie! Peace and continued blessings!

  8. Praise God!!! Seth, I can specifically to Teitter this morning looking for an update. Traci and I will continue to pray for complete healing. We’ll actually we’ll continue to thank God for complete healing. It’s already been done!!!

  9. Yes all glory to God. The battle is The Lord !!! We are on God times and those doctors are witnessing a miracle everyday with Emilie. They may be puzzled to what is going on but they will soon learn we served a God that heals and listens to every prayer request. I’m praying continuously for your family.
