2 Corinthians 1:20 – For all the promises of God in Him are yes, and in Him Amen, unto the glory of God through us.

Today Emilie was taken off the oscillator and placed on a traditional ventilator. This means her need for oxygen support is decreasing, and she is one step closer to breathing on her own. This is a MAJOR step in the right direction. She’s gain 1 lb since birth, now weighing in at 2 lbs 5 ounces. And you wouldn’t believe it but today she finally pooped her pants. Before we know it she’ll be graduating from high school 😉
Some would ask the question, “how do you know God is going to heal Emilie?” Great question! I know because He told me He was, and everything that has led up to her birth and has transpired since her birth has confirmed it.
Let me start from the beginning
Emilie was born Thursday April 11 at 11:38am.
On Thursday April 4 at 9:53am I was at home writing in my prayer journal. This is something I only do a few times a month (though I wish I could say I do it more). However on this particular morning my entry was abnormally short and straight to the point. This was my post…
One week later Emilie was born 16 weeks early.
Fast forward to Sunday April 14, four days after Emilie was born. I was walking through the halls of the hospital despondent, in tears, and utterly confused. As I made my way out to the atrium, rain gently fell around me, I asked God a simple question, “will you heal my daughter?” He responded, “I am able… and I am willing.” Shortly after He reminded me of my journal entry when I told Him I want a faith journey. It was as if the Lord read my journal entry on April 4th and then stopped by the house on April 11th and said, “Hey Seth lets go for a ride!” From that day we’ve never been the same.
The funny thing about riding with the Lord is that you quickly realize He’s not the smoothest driver. It feels like He hits every pothole and takes the sharpest curves possible. This often leaves many discouraged and ready to bail. However your survival depends on you staying buckled in by His Word. And no matter how bad it may seem you must at all times remain in the vehicle. When the journey is over and you look back down the road, you’ll clearly see He knew exactly what He was doing. Thus our confidence in Emilie’s healing is based on God’s impeccable driving record. In 6000+ years He’s never been in an accident.

Hallelujah! We can leave the driving to the Savior!!! Thanks for the praise report.
Amen and amen 😀 We ask, and He will answer…
Wow. This post gave me goosebumps. We serve a living, almighty and PRESENT God. Yours and Holly’s faith journey has encouraged me. I thank you for sharing and know that our family is praying for all of you.
What an encouraging entry! The Lord is truly present in your life. May you continue to trust in Him and see His marvelous works!
When our daughter (born at 28 weeks) finally pooped for the first time, your should have seen the dance we did around that room!! I understand how much these things can be a cause for celebration. We will continue to pray for Emilie Grace, and for you both.
Halleluia! Let me put down a praise right now in my living room. God is faithful to his Word! You just gave me an extra boost because my baby is in the NICU at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital, born at 25 weeks. Aerione is done fine. This has increased my faith, thank you sooooooooo much for sharing! We are overcome by the blood of the lamb and by the Word of our testimony.
And I say HALLELUJAH!!!!
I can only imagine what the bumps would have been like if He hadn’t cushioned them! Praise Him for what He has done!!
God is always in control.I also had my daughter at 24 weeks. She weight 1pound 10 ounces. There were many obsticles, tears and prayers. God saw us thru it. Continue to have hope and God will carry her thru. I can say it from experience God is in control. My daughter is fine and doing well in her studies. I will continue to pray for Emilie.
Praise God! Emilie Grace is a little ‘trooper.’ God is favoring her – one miracle at a time. My premie experience (2 lbs) is now a grown man living out his purpose in life. God is awesome! We will continue to keep your family in prayer.
Beautiful post. Thanks for blazing such an inspiring spiritual trail for the rest of us following you.
Thanks for the update. I will keep praying for Emilie Grace as she develops and grows. To God be the glory great things He has done, is doing and will do!!!
WHAT A MIGHTY GOD WE SERVE! ALL PRAISES TO THE HIGHEST KING OF KINGS! YES I’M SHOUTING ALL PRAISES TO HIS NAME!
“Today Emilie was taken off the oscillator and placed on a traditional ventilator. This means her need for oxygen support is decreasing, and she is one step closer to breathing on her own.”
All honor and glory be to our Father above for Emilie’s continual improvement and growth. I too was born early and although I weighed at birth what Emilie weighs now, I can tell you that I am healthy in all ways. May God continue to support you and your family! I look forward to Emilie’s graduation day as well. All our love to the Yelorda family… Love in Christ, Michelle and Wayne Phillips.
Thank you Lord for all that you continue to do for the Yelorda family! And thank you for always bringing us to reality and never forget that you and only you REIGN!!
Still praying daily!!
Still praying. Still believing. Your testimonies have been encouraging, challenging and have taught me so much regarding my own feeble faith. Thank you Seth and Hollie for sharing this time of testing with all of us. I pray daily for little Emilie and for you both. Know that many are lifting up prayers on your family’s behalf. And also know that your walk is a testimony that is helping others in their own personal faith challenges. God bless and may this be a week of wonder and amazement as God continues to work out His will in all of our lives. Blessings….
